Meet Peter Mikhail, MD FACS
Dr. Peter Mikhail is a vein specialist and vascular surgeon in Tampa, Florida specializing in the treatment of venous insufficiency related issues such as varicose veins, spider veins, restless legs syndrome, ulcers, orthopedic leg pain, and many other affiliated conditions of venous inefficiencies.
Dr. Mikhail received his Medical Degree from McGill University in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. He then completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Toronto.
He followed his passion and proceeded to subspecialize in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Florida, completing his training in 2007.
Dr. Mikhail has a special interest in Venous disease, and minimally invasive vascular surgery.
He has a passion for his patient’s quick recovery with a return to a normal family and work life as soon as possible. This drives him to perform minimally invasive vascular and cardiovascular procedures whenever feasible.
Dr. Mikhail is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, The American Board of Thoracic Surgery and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Mikhail has published multiple articles on thoracic surgery and cardiovascular procedures in various medical journals.
